Rosalind was born in Twillingate, NL  but was raised in Corner Brook. Her first exposure to art was at a very young age thanks to Tess Ewing. After graduation  from MUN Rosalind began to “move about”. Her travels have exposed her to various careers including Public Health Nurse, Dog Walker, Book Store Manager and several more in between. Throughout it all Rosalind has been driven to “express”.

She has several oil painting courses under her belt. Most  recently she  was  mentored by artist Marie Lyon of PEI who introduced her to the art of collage (gluing) which was first developed by Picasso.

Rosalind considers herself a poet first and  an artist second. Expression in all of its forms is her passion ...from cartooning to collage. Her work is an attempt to exhibit the emotion she feels at the time and it is this that incites her to sit in her “front” room and take pen, brush, glue in hand.

She has just recently moved back to Corner Brook after spending 25 years in Prince Edward Island where she feels one’s “soul’ is nourished. However it is Newfoundland that feeds her “spirit’ and she is thrilled to be home . The landscape here in the beautiful Bay of Islands cannot help but excite one’s emotion and enliven the senses!
