Peggy Kelly has always lived in Newfoundland, first in the interior of the island dominated by big skies and lakes, and since, in larger communities nearer the sea. Water and open spaces remain important in her life.

Peggy had been in health care for 35 years, retiring from a nursing and clinical information management career in 2008. Those rich and diverse experiences have also been a formative agent.

Peggy began painting in the early 90's at a time of positive personal growth. She was drawn to create artistically and began taking lessons in acrylic painting, still a primary focus.  Inspiration comes best from experiences, blending the visual with the feel of an object or scene. In retirement Peggy is endeavoring to take her art to new levels. Connecting with the artistic community is an important aspect of that growth.
