The League of Artists of Western Newfoundland (LAWN) is a non-profit artist run organization committed to providing a variety of opportunities and services through co-operative programming and volunteer efforts.

LAWN's members work in a variety of media and each has their own story and approach to their artwork.

In collaboration with the Corner Brook Arts and Culture Centre's 50th anniversary we are currently planning the presence of LAWN at the Centre this year, 2018.

Our theme is PRESENCE and is about being present. as an artist, as a member of the community, as a creator and as a patron of the Arts.

A juried art exhibition will be at the Arts & Culture Centre from March 5 - April 8, 2018 featuring the work of our West Coast artists. Everyone is welcome at our opening reception on March 9 @ 4-6 pm. You are also welcome to visit our exhibition during the Centre's normal hours of operation.

A five-month long community interactive installation project will be at the Corner Brook Arts and Culture Centre from May - October, 2018. The project will include two large community gatherings (workshops) and then creative parties where the community will be invited to continue the creation using paper, wood, and found objects.

Workshop #1 on May 5th, 2018: Artist led workshop to use natural hand-dyed large swaths of silk fabric.

Workshop #2 on May 26th, 2018: Artist led workshop to create paintings of music and motion.

We are pleased to be collaborating with the Arts and Culture Centre and having a major presence at the Centre and in the community.
