Pastels and Oils


Barbara Bellows was trained in art by attending classes at various schools such as Lyme Art Academy, Old Lyme, CT and Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH, and by taking intensive workshops. She taught Art at Lebanon College, Lebanon, NH. for fifteen years and was chairperson of the Arts Department for six of those years. She was a founding member of the Orford Artist Group in Orford, NH. 

She moved to beautiful Norris Point in 2011, where she paints Gros More National Park and continues to teach. For five years, she has curated the Cottage Hospital Artists and Crafters Fair in Norris Point.

She is most known for her work in soft pastels and oils of landscapes. She is represented in Newfoundland at Java Jacks in Rocky Harbour, Neddies Harbour Inn in Norris Point, Galliott Studios and Cafe and Molly Made Gallery in Woody Point and in New Hampshire at Robin’s Art and Framing.
